Desperate to escape the monotony of his suburban life, paranormal-obsessed Louis (Jon Heder) puts together a dysfunctional investigation team comprised of his depressed best friend, his misfit nephew, a whip-smart beautician, a cable-access "medium" and an overeager security guard. With their help, and a van filled with amateur equipment, the rag-tag crew sets out to capture the existence of ghosts on video. But poltergeists are the least of what the team discovers at an abandoned farm in the woods...
